INNATE INTELLIGENCE - THE SMART CHOICE

My original intent in writing this article was to tell you about the type of chiropractic I do called Network Spinal Analysis (NSA). With my efforts to do so, instead I find the direction keeps moving me towards the subject of healing. I could tell you about the research studies, scientific and supportive evidence of how and why NSA works, but is that what would get you into my office and on my adjusting table? What I see is that when someone really wants to get better, they don’t care so much about how it works but rather if it will work. The methods become secondary to the results. Unfortunately the methods commonly used in health care are harsh and barbaric in my opinion. I have personally seen too many situations where someone’s anatomy and physiology has been deranged and distorted, many times beyond repair, by the use of drugs and/or surgery for a condition that could have been resolved in a more honoring way to their bodymind. When I speak of these things I feel anger and frustration at how much unnecessary suffering so many people go through in their journey toward wholeness. Then I think, well maybe that abusive experience was an essential part of their journey. I realize that many of these choices were made from a place of fear and desperation, and for that I have understanding and compassion. But I do judge the health care industry for continuing to allow people to suffer when there are so many more paths to feeling alive and well without the illusion that you need medical science to get there.

How loud does the message have to get for someone to wake up to the reality that there is an easier way? I’ll tell you; the amplitude of the message usually comes in the form of a disease or pathological process that is out of your control and beyond the powers of medical science leaving you really scared. Where do you turn to now? There is no place else to go but inside. But how do you do that? Nowhere in our culture has the process of healing been modeled out for us. I have never seen it on Marcus Welby M.D., Doogie Howser M.D., Chicago Hope or even ER. If it’s not on TV then it must not exist, right? Wrong, I see it everyday in my office. I am not discounting the entertainment value of these shows, but I do think it is important to keep in mind it’s Hollywood; it’s only a movie. I value the dedicated health care professionals and their medical techniques when used at the appropriate time, which is usually in acute traumatic situations. But for chronic health problems, drugs and surgery are rarely the answer.

The Journal of the American Medical Association, probably one of the largest and most respected medical journals in the world, reported statistics in their July 2000 issue that places medical doctors as the third leading cause of death in the U.S. only behind heart disease and cancer. The total deaths per year was 225,000 and here is the breakdown: 12,000 from unnecessary surgeries, 7000 from medication errors in hospitals, 20,000 from other errors in hospitals, 80,000 from infections in hospitals and 106,000 from non-error negative effects of drugs. The World Health Organization ranks the U.S. 15th among 25 industrialized countries for overall health. This is what happens when far too often extreme measures of intervention like drugs and surgery are used. You play with fire and you are going to get burned. I suggest that you first release the healing power of the body because this infinite wisdom is the most valuable asset you have.

I remember one fragment of a brief viewing of Doogie Howser M.D. where he has to deliver bad news concerning a patient’s prognosis. As he uses a defeated and consoling tone of voice he says, “we have tried everything humanly possible.” I though to myself, have you tried NSA, prayer, or other alternative methods?  Why are all healing methods called “alternative” if they are not part of the mainstream medical model? Medical doctors are commonly called your primary care physician. This is the message we are given. Don’t trust your body’s ability to heal; it’s not capable. Instead you need immunizations, antibiotics and surgery to protect you from the evils lurking in your environment. You should be your primary care physician. When it is time for you to go within, hopefully your previous attempts of trying to control the healing process hasn’t left your temple too butchered and chemically toxic to be able to pull up enough life force to stay in the game. But here is the good news; when your innate wisdom is fully mediated through your nervous system, healing happens. This is not a miracle for your body; it’s all in a days work.  We facilitate this every day at the Brittain Chiropractic and Nutrition Center.

So what does NSA do? Quite simply it turns on the power of life. It connects and integrates your brain, spinal cord and nervous system back to your body so that the innate intelligence, chi, prana, pure potentiality, spirit, universal consciousness, life force or whatever else you want to call it, is released. Whether your health challenges are of physical, mental, emotional or chemical in origin and whatever path of recovery you choice, make NSA a part of it. It works. How does it do that? There is a scientific story that’s real convincing if you need something to put your faith in. Log on to www.innateintelligence.com, read the research and come to some of the programs we have scheduled.

The average life expectancy of a medical doctor is 56 years old. The average life expectancy of a chiropractor is 83. You do the math; then call the office and start getting your spine and nervous system cleared of interference.
