![]() Medical Intervention : An Avoidable Health ThreatHere is an interesting statistic. The American Journal of Medicine reported that of the 14 most common symptoms; 74% of the diagnostic findings were unknown, 10% psychological and 16% organic. What does this mean? Of the 14 most common symptoms, 84% of them are beyond our understanding of science, as we know it. The 16% that is organic is only diagnosable because the illness has advanced to the level of detection with laboratory testing methods. My guess is that the16% was previously in the early non-detectable stages and part of the 84%. Over time as the disease progressed it too could then be diagnosed as something organic. In other words you go to the doctor with a symptom and he/she gives you a prescription for some drugs or takes out a body part. There is a one in six chance that was the right thing to do. Like playing Russian runlet with a revolver. How about this one? The British Medical Journal reported that only about 15% of medical interventions are supported by scientific evidence and only 1% of the articles in medical journals are scientifically sound. Do you see a relationship between these statistics? It appears that 15% of medical intervention supported with scientific evidence was also organic in origin. So the only time medical intervention is supported is after the disease has advanced to chronic levels. Most of the time they only know what is really going on after it is too late. Hindsight is always 20/20. The best way to play the medical intervention game is by not playing. Do things to stay healthy instead of just avoiding disease. I have yet to see an improvement on the original design of the human body.
